Five Steps to Open A Facebook Account for Your Business

It’s not a beginner guide. It’s just a basic quick guide to open a Facebook account for your business.

I’ve created an infographic for the beginners. Sorry about the graphics quality in advance. :) But I hope you’ll find it helpful, that’s more important.

Sign Up and Log In

Sign up for a Facebook account. If you already have a personal Facebook account, log in to your account and create a business page. Alternatively, if you don’t have a personal Facebook account, you can create a page only for business on the sign up page at the bottom of the sign up for the Facebook page.

Name the Page and Choose Category

You now need to name your Facebook page and choose which category or business or organization is in through provided categories. Be sure to choose your name wisely so as to make the notion of judging the page by the page name convenient.

Add a Profile Picture and Cover Photo

Select  a picture which will appear next to every post on your page on your news feed. Go to the page and click on upload photos and choose a photo from your files and click on upload or choose. On the other hand a cover photo is the photo that appears once you open your page. It has to be a minimum of 399 pixels wide.

Add Basic Information

Give details about your business or organization and its vision and what it does.

First Page Update and Likes

Once the technical part is done, you can now go ahead update your status while you like the page and invite others to like it too. you can also share your status update. You can as well add a cover photo
